What To Do For My Dog On His Birthday

In transatlantic flight. Each passenger has a little screen and select the movie you see or hear the music. Even families who see the same movie I make everyone on your screen, at your pace. All plugged into their ears through headphones, when you take yours just hear the engines and the distant crackle of a bag of peanuts.

Yesterday on the train we all saw the same movie, but the sound individual. Contrary to what happens with football matches seen in company, this fragmentation of sound inhibits the expression of feelings, although the film had strokes of humor no one dared to laugh out loud, smile and a laugh uncontrollably and fleeting at best.

fragmentation to the complete individualization entertainment but has been occurring gradually, it was fast enough to be very clear, and shows various peculiar aspects. One first is containment, the inhibition of externalization of feelings that occur as just discussed. Another is the dependence of the headphones, while among teenagers have become an element of fashion and trends of miniaturization succeed or gigantification. It would be nice to go looking if this life is continually sounding false some effect, presumably harmful on the ears, not just evolved to that environment.

Last but certainly most important, is the confinement to the "comfort zone" personal: the selection of what you see and what you hear is based on existing criteria, and if done in a non-permanent exposed to the serendipity of finding something unexpected (and wonderful) as put on TV, or wherever. This idea is not mine, I read it to Psudópodo HERE. Then I copy literally a piece of your post that I found shocking:

"In the old days We were resigned (yet in many countries are) to the person with whom we share our lives was elected without contest our will: the parents arranged the marriages. Now would not tolerate that, although they tolerate our co-workers or people with whom we share a moment on the bus are not elected by us.

But increasingly, the transition that occurred at the life of the project is now producing at any times, we pass with whom we (speaking on the phone, but also listening to our music) and not to fortunate who has allotted us.

This looks good, but impoverishes us, cease to exist on input from direct experience that read Michael Crichton "

The previous transatlantic flight I did not had little screen, I spent much of the journey chatting with my seatmate, I did not know and I have not seen since then, although I remember much of the conversation. Now I turn to the small screen of the films doubting that you will remember in the future anything you see today.
