Today in Mexico celebrate a holiday, the Day of the Dead. Is an important day in our traditions, a celebration of my favorites, but unfortunately, today I can not celebrate as we used before. This is because I have to address labor issues ... and we have taken the day off ... : (This is very bad vibes from the place where I work, because in my opinion is a holiday that should be respected and celebrated.
When I was at school always give us this day off, and often coincided with the days after a weekend, so we could travel to another city where we have buried our dead, to come to you from the afternoon until dawn. At this time only begins to feel the friito, so it was really cool to be living together around the graves of our loved taking us a coffee or hot chocolate. Also in the pantheon always about something to buy on this day, sugar canes, corn cocktail, hot cakes, churros, in short, many things very rich.
Our ritual was going to buy the flowers, the candles and bring cleaning utensils and gardening, to reach the cemetery early in the evening to clean the graves, removing weeds, and make them very pretty with flowers and candles . There'd be living together and praying until they closed their eyes to us.
I miss this experience, but as I say unfortunately this time I could not, for my work, but as I'd like to know that my relatives still live by attending this event and to join next year.
